The 2008 Four Corners Emergency Management Conference was held December 10, 11 and 12 at the Radisson Hotel in Branson,
Missouri.
The conference agenda focused on mitigation, warning challenges, response and recovery and societal impacts of flooding. Conference speakers included Eve Gruntfest, Ph.D., Professor Emeritus at the Trauma, Health and Hazards Center of the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and Isabelle Ruin, Ph.D., Geographer at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado.
A response and recovery exercise also allowed attendees the opportunity to practically apply the information they received.
