Four Corners Emergency Management
August 4th, 2010 Meeting Minutes

The Four Corners Emergency Management met at Mimi's in Rogers, Ark. on Wednesday, Aug 4, 2010. The meeting was attended by 14 people. The meeting was called to order by Keith Stammer.

The minutes from the previous meeting was read and motion by Marshall Watson and seconded by John Gagliardo to accept. Motion carried.

Treasurer Gary Roark reported no change from the previous report. He reported that the group has $1,310.59 in the account and that was after the 2010 conference down payment was made.

John Gagliardo gave a summary on the Website. Several changes have taken place on the members only section.

The meeting was turned over to Melodie Marcks with the Northwest Arkansas Community College. She discussed the establishment of a Business Emergency Operations Center to help in disaster management. (See attached documents below)

Marshall Watson discussed a new weather information pilot project called Interact NWS. The project lets a person choose the kind of notification he or she wants for weather information. He is currently using this and likes how it works. He would encourage others to try it and see if it will work for them.

Next meeting to be held in Joplin, Mo on Oct 6, 2010 at 11:00 am. The meeting will be held at Granny Shaffers on North Rangeline Road.
