Four Corners Emergency Management Meeting was held on June 3, 2009 at Granny Shaffers in Joplin, Mo.

Call to Order by Candy Adams at 11:30

Minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed. Motion by John Cooper to approve, seconded by Eldon Bedene. Motion carried.

Introductions of attendees.

Treasurer Report

            Gary Roark reported that we have $3018.00 in the bank. The audit is scheduled to be done by Keith Stammer in the near future. Motion by Keith Stammer to accept report, seconded by John Cooper. Motion carried.

New Business:

            The 2009 conference was discussed. Topics such as interoperable communications, weather, and others were talked about. Discussion over the different state’s communication needs and how the need to talk to all responders coming to a scene is accomplished and how they fail also.

All agreed that communications is one of the most important issues in today’s world.

            Vendors for the 2009 conference was discussed and will be talked about at a later date.

            Candy reported that the Mo Health Dept wants to do a SNS Multi-State Exercise. She will find out more information and report at next meeting.

  The next meeting will be on August 5 and the location will be announced later.
