Four Corners Emergency Management
October 6th, 2010 Meeting Minutes

The Four Corners Emergency Management met at Granny Shaffers in Joplin, Mo on Oct 6, 2010. The meeting was called to order by Candy Adams. The meeting was attended by 18 people.

The minutes from the previous meeting was read and motion by Eldon Bedene and seconded by Greg Sweeten to accept. Motion carried.

Treasurer Gary Roark reported no change from the previous report. He reported that the group has $1,273.09 in the account. Gary advised that the checking account will now require two signatures.

The meeting was turned over to Mike White with the State of Missouri who gave a presentation on Chemical Suicides.

Discussion on the conference was held. The conference will consist of a Hospitality night on Wednesday night, Thursday night will be on the Branson Landing at Ernie Biggs. The main focus of the conference will be an exercise on Earth Quake in the New Madrid fault area.

Steve Runnels discussed a new product called Integrated Weather Warning which is available and also wanted input on holding a regional training in the near future. Discussion on where to have the training was needed. Several people would like to see it in the Joplin, Mo area as is it centrally located to allow for more people from the Kansas and Oklahoma to attend. Steve will do more research and let us know.
